Khalilah Brooks
Creator/ Executive Producer/ Performer

Khalilah Brooks' journey through life took her from being in foster care until the age of 21 to pursuing her passion for the arts, where she could inspire and heal the hearts of children just like her. Khalilah has been working with children for 20+ years. She is the proud business owner of “BAM Children’s Entertainment Inc.” where she contributes to the community of the performing arts and enjoys every moment of it.

In 2019, Khalilah earned “The Dean’s Award for Entrepreneurship” from Centennial College and her Post Graduate Degree in Children’s Media, and was awarded the digital media incubator bursaries from WIFT in partnership with Hollywood Suite. Khalilah is thrilled to be taking her theatrical property "Aunty B & Friends" to television for Aunty B's House.

Kara Harun
Writer/ Director/ Showrunner

Kara Harun is a two-time Canadian Screen Award nominee for her work as a writer, producer, and host for TVOKids, The Space. Kara has written for children's shows such as Dino Dana (Sinking Ship/TVO), Glowbies (CBC), and Denis and Me II and III (Crave, Family). In the tween space, she wrote for My Perfect Landing, a tween dramedy that airs on Family Channel, Netflix, and CBBC and BYU tv. Kara recently finished a writer's room for a drama series for IMDB TV/ Amazon as co-producer. Kara worked as writer/producer/director of YTV's The Zone Weekend and Big Fun Movies. In this role she honed her skills, writing comedy sketches on a daily basis. ​

Executive Producers

In 2018, Michelle Melanson (left) launched Headspinner Productions with Ken Cuperus (right) to create and produce world class content. Current series including Denis and Me, Happy House of Frightenstein, Gardenkeeper Gus, Gisele's Mashup Adventures and Mistletoe Murders stream/air on CBC Gem, CBC Kids, Family Channel, Family Jr., CRAVE, YouTube, Spotify and Audible.

Emmy and Bafta Nominated, Michelle Melanson has 30 years' experience in the kids and family production business with hundreds of episodes produced and over 50 awards and nominations. In 2021 Michelle received the Youth Media Alliance Outstanding Achievements award and she is the founder of the free networking and learning organization- Women Drawn Together.

Ken Cuperus is a Canadian writer/creator/showrunner with more than 20 years of experience, and over a hundred hours of produced broadcast television. Ken has worked on many kids and preschool series, both animated and live action, including: George Shrinks, Berenstain Bears, Hot Wheels, Total Drama Island, The Hardy Boys, and Mr. Young. He is creator of the hit drama series Hudson & Rex and the YTV Sitcom The Stanley Dynamic. He is currently the creator, writer and director of the hit Audible series Mistletoe Murders.

Stacie Goldin
Educational Consultant

Having worked with children since the age of 13, Stacie Goldin eventually received her B.Ed. (York University, 1995), and has taught preschool through grade 5, taught Child Development at Centennial College and worked as an online Educational Director/Curriculum Consultant for KaBoom Entertainment, VectorSpark and Nelson Education. From 2002-2015 Stacie was the in-house Educational Consultant for TVOKids, working with the preschool/school-age broadcast and digital teams to create engaging, exciting, age-appropriate, curriculum-connected content. Currently freelancing as an education and curriculum consultant, Stacie has consulted for CBC Kids, Nick Jr., Disney Jr., Nelvana, WildBrain, Industrial Brothers, Secret Location, Big Jump and Lambur Productions. When not consulting, Stacie works as a social media content creator, teaches yoga, and volunteers at an organic vegetable farm.
